DIGITAL MOBILE X-RAY TECHNICIAN
We have healthcare professional who operates portable X-ray equipment to take medical images, typically at a patient's bedside or in various settings outside of traditional radiology departments. These technicians are responsible for performing X-ray procedures using digital imaging technology, which is more efficient and produces higher-quality images compared to traditional film-based methods. They work alongside doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Communication is essential, especially when performing procedures in non-clinical settings like patient homes or long-term care facilities. They follow strict protocols to ensure that patients are exposed to the least amount of radiation necessary, adhering to safety guidelines and wearing protective gear as needed.
X-RAY EQUIPMENT
The technician uses a digital mobile X-ray machine, a portable and compact device that can be brought directly to patients in their homes. This gentry machine allows the technician to immediately view the X-ray images on a screen to assess their quality and make any necessary adjustments. With digital systems, images are instantly available and can be optimized for clarity. The technician ensures that the images are clear, properly exposed, and free from any artifacts or errors that could impact diagnosis. Once the X-ray images are taken, the technician labels them with the patient's information and uploads them to a mobile X-ray company's radiology system (Picture Archiving and Communication System, or PACS) for review by a radiologist.

After pursuing studies at Mt. San Antonio College and the Academy of Art University, she gained valuable experience as a supervisor at Best Buy in Vancouver, Washington. Her career transitioned to data processing supervision upon her return to La Verne, and later, she established a successful medical billing practice from home. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys reading, swimming, beach outings, and exploring new places. She's also a devoted fan of Tim Burton.
